A Life By Design… or something like it.

I believe in working hard for the things in life you really want, but this is not that. I need a stress free place, so here it is.

• A little about me.

  As a kid I can remember wanting to be an artist or an interior designer. I took so many art classes through out high school and college, but kept hearing that there was no future in it. So being passionate about one thing and trying to do the reasonable rational choice I had no idea what to do. After 2 years of college I decided to take a different path and go to cosmetology school. It was a way I could be creative and do something I really enjoyed as well.

  Fast forward a few years, at the age of 25, I was going through a divorce and had 2 amazing kids to take care of so I put myself back in school and did the responsible thing. I got a degree in Business Marketing. During finishing up college courses I worked at an accountants office. After finishing school I took at job working in purchasing for a home builder. I had become good with spreadsheets, numbers, and productivity. This job was located a good distance from home and was taking too much time from my kids. Amazingly I was able to find something closer to home working for another builder. My first job in design!

  Now I have been designing interiors and exteriors for residential construction for over 7 years as a lead designer and taking on any new adventures as they come my way. I enjoy helping others create a living space they love and help bring it to life.

  A little more about me, I now am happily married with 3 kids plus bonus mom to 2 more. We have a sweet but quirky labradoodle, Dakota. Life is full and busy with a house full. Looking back I truly can’t believe how perfect timing is for things to have come as far as they have. Many ups and downs, and choices. I am thankful to be able to do what I love after all.
